Help your motorhome look its best again
A parking scratch, a dent or more extensive damage: we help you understand the repair options for your motorhome or caravan.
At Milster & Bahls GmbH in Milmersdorf, our paint and bodywork service starts with a close look at the affected area. Where is the damage? Which material is involved? Would a local repair be suitable, or is more extensive work needed? We clarify these questions before recommending an approach.
Our aim is a clear, practical solution suited to your motorhome's condition and the work it needs. We discuss the possible scope of repairs and the next steps with you personally.

What needs attention?
Different types of damage require different approaches. We distinguish between minor cosmetic marks and damage that needs a more detailed assessment.
Scratches & paint damage
Surface marks and deeper scratches need different treatments. We assess whether a local repair is suitable or whether a larger area should be refinished.
Dents & deformation
For parking damage and dents, the location, accessibility and material all matter. Following an assessment, we discuss an appropriate repair for the affected component.
Rust spots
Visible corrosion deserves a closer inspection. Planning the repair requires an understanding of the areas affected and how far the damage extends.
More extensive damage
After an accident, the first step is to assess the extent of the damage. We establish which work we can undertake and whether other specialists are needed on a case-by-case basis.
A local repair or a larger area of work?
A small damaged area does not automatically mean an entire component needs repainting or replacement. Equally, a local repair is not suitable for every type of damage.
We explain the options and their limitations, taking the location, surface condition and intended result into account. Smart Repair may also be an option for suitable minor damage.
Explore Smart RepairColour, finish & existing wear
A paint repair should blend as well as possible with your motorhome's overall appearance. We consider the colour, the condition of the existing paint and the surrounding surfaces.
For older finishes, special coatings or graphics, we discuss what can realistically be achieved before work begins. A completely invisible repair cannot be promised for every surface or type of damage.
The cab and habitation body need different approaches
Motorhome and caravan components vary considerably depending on their construction. A repair method suitable for a metal panel cannot simply be applied to a habitation wall or plastic component. Cracks, damaged joints or signs of moisture require an assessment of whether the damage extends beyond the visible surface. We check whether we can offer the necessary habitation body repairs based on the specific damage.
Four steps towards a clear repair plan
Providing the right information helps us understand your enquiry and plan your workshop visit.
Describe the damage
Tell us the model, year and affected area. Explain what happened as clearly as possible and let us know about any previous repairs in the same area.
Assess the condition
We clarify what further information is needed and whether an inspection is required. Photos can help with an initial assessment but do not always replace an on-site inspection.
Agree on the work
Before you authorise the repair, we discuss the proposed scope, how costs will be calculated and the expected timeframe, including any limitations on the result.
Arrange collection
Once the agreed work is complete, we explain what has been done and provide any relevant guidance on caring for the repaired surfaces.
Details that help us plan
Alongside the manufacturer, model and year, a description of the damage and details of previous repairs are useful. If you would like to provide photos, an overall view, a picture of the affected area and a close-up are particularly helpful. We can agree on how to send them when needed.
Please also tell us if you have an upcoming trip. Whether your preferred timing is possible depends on the repair scope, workshop availability and any parts or materials required.
Discuss insurance & transport arrangements
If you intend to claim repair costs through insurance, clarify the required steps and documents with your insurer beforehand. A workshop enquiry does not confirm that an insurer will cover the costs.
If you need transport while your motorhome is in the workshop, mention this when arranging your appointment. Availability and terms are agreed separately.
Replacement vehicle servicePaint & bodywork repair FAQs
Can I enquire about repairs to a caravan?
Yes. Tell us the model and describe the damage to your caravan. Whether we can undertake the work depends on the affected component, its material and the extent of the repair.
Are photos enough for a firm quotation?
Photos help with an initial assessment. However, hidden damage, the exact surface condition and accessibility cannot always be assessed from images. We will discuss whether an inspection is needed.
Does a scratch mean the whole panel needs repainting?
Not necessarily. The depth, size and location of the damage, together with the existing finish, determine the appropriate approach. We check whether a local repair is suitable.
Do you repair damage to the habitation body?
Please enquire specifically about this type of damage. Work on habitation walls, joints or specialist materials requires an individual assessment. We clarify what is possible and whether a specialist repairer should be involved.
Will the repaired area be invisible afterwards?
We discuss how to achieve a result that blends well with the surrounding area. A completely invisible repair cannot be guaranteed, particularly with aged paint, special finishes or graphics.
How long will the repair take?
This depends on the damage, the work required and the availability of parts and materials. We discuss an expected timeframe once the scope of repairs has been assessed.
What happens if additional damage is discovered?
If further repair needs become apparent during the work, we discuss the next steps with you, including any potential changes to costs and timing.
How do I arrange an appointment?
Use our workshop enquiry form and select or describe the service you need. We will contact you to discuss the arrangements. Your preferred appointment is only booked once we have confirmed it.
